Objectives:
- Provide an overview on the epidemiology of cerebrovascular disease amongst Chinese living in North America, in particular, the unique stroke risks amongst this population in Toronto and New York City will be discussed.
- Discuss the current medical and interventional management strategies, and the prognosis of stroke in Asians and Chinese, who have been found to have more intracranial vascular stenosis.
- Discuss effective strategies for smoking cessation in the Chinese community through looking at the Chinese Community Smoking Cessation Project in the San Francisco Bay Area.
